Just have to share some favorites from this week’s sunrise session in DC! There is a good amount of construction going on at the Lincoln Memorial but we worked around it, and ventured to the War Memorial and Tidal Basin afterwards as well! It was a bright, glowy morning and these two were SO photogenic. Can’t wait for their 2025 wedding!

Some of our favorite clients just had a BOY! Pretty obsessed with his name, too. What a special time for this growing family. You can tell Shevani and Wayne are completely over the moon in love with this lucky boy.
Stone Tower Winery
It is always great to be back working at Stone Tower. The views are breathtaking and it really is one of the nicest venues in the entire Northern Virginia area. We had such a pleasure working with Alysha and Jared and were relieved that all this recent rain has finally tapered off for a bit. Congratulations to these two!

The second I met these guys for their engagement session I knew it would be a good time. They were one of the most effortless, natural, couples we’ve had and we barely had to direct them in posing! You can truly see their easygoing nature reflected in these photos.

What a beautiful wedding at Sweeney Barn this past Thursday! Mariam & Miguel are such a cute couple and had smiles on throughout the day, rain or shine. They kicked off our 4-wedding weekend in a fun, positive way!
DC Magnolias!
Spring is HERE and the beautiful magnolias are stealing the show for a short few days before the craziness of the cherry blossoms! We foresee ourselves doing a ton more shoots here at the Smithsonian museum in DC.. what a magical spot (and a great couple to work with).
Rainy Coast Guard Wedding at Army Navy
Saturday was one chilly, wet day but it really didn’t seem to bother Meredith and Jonathan one bit! Look how colorful and bright their photos turned out anyways. It’s always a pleasure to return to Army Navy Club in DC to photograph weddings, and we are grateful that this couple helped kick off our 2024 wedding season in such a positive way.

New Year!
It’s a brand new year and that always excites us. So much in store for this year, including a second baby of our own in just a few short weeks, and so many weddings and projects.
First up for 2024 we have this beautiful local family and their almost 3-month old. Jennie is a fan of higher-contrast, darker editing and I think we delivered just that.

A&A: 11/11/23
Our season is winding down but we still have a ways to go at the same time!
A & A got married on 11/11 on a perfect Fall day - plenty of sun and no wind. They were such a beautiful couple and we really enjoyed returning to The Barn at Willowbrook in Leesburg. Just look at that stylish green suit, and their adorable son that shared the celebration with them.

LOOK how precious. If you are on the fence about newborn photos..these should sway you! A newborn baby is an exhausting but fleeting moment in time that is so important to preserve through some photos.
Oatlands Engagment Session
Many beautiful properties and locations charge for entry / taking photos on their grounds, but for a good reason. Sometimes it’s worth spending a little extra to have your dream location, and Oatlands is it for some clients. It’s one of those locations that offers such a vast amount of beauty and backdrops. I was stopping this couple at every corner to take more photos!
In front of the Camera!!
While creating a branding video for Sarah Schmidt Photography at her beautiful 6-acre farm, we had her do some family photos for us! It’s been over 5 years since we had any professional photos of us, so it was great to be in front of the camera. Trying to get a toddler to pose whatsoever is impossible, but candid photos have always been our thing anyways. Can’t wait to create Sarah’s branding video!
Shadow Creek Fall Wedding
When we think of this weekend’s weddings we think “vibrant”. From the peak foliage, to so many emotions, tearful moments, heartfelt speeches, and fun dancing with a live band. Congratulations to Sarah and Andrew, and thanks for making our weekend so special!
Vibrant Fall Wedding
Fall colors make us so happy! What a beautiful, vibrant weekend full of weddings. We love our job, and loved working again at Fleetwood Farm Winery. This day was full of lots of happy tears, WIND, laughter, and an epic reception dance floor. Congratulations to these two!
In-Home Pregnancy Announcement
Shevani and Wayne are some regular clients of ours, and we feel like we know them so well since we captured their engagement party as well as their multi-event wedding weekend.
Shevani reached out and wanted to come full circle with us doing their pregnancy photos!
This session was such a fresh change of pace..it felt so natural to take photos at their beautiful, bright home. They put music on, and just had a great taking photos to share this happy news with the world.
Tropical Rainstorm at your Wedding? Not a Problem.
It really didn’t matter that there was NO break in the rain on Krystyna & Ondrej’s wedding day. LOOK at their vibrant images! They had such great attitudes and were adventurous enough to go out while it was raining in order to capture some great shots with us - both day and night. And look what they did for their first dance - sparklers! It was romantic and perfect.
Solo Maternity Session
Jennie showed up with herself alone and I had a full session working with JUST her and it was amazing! I never get to spend this much time with one person, and even though it was still only a 30 minute session, she received 75 stunning images of herself and the little one in her belly. Corgi Engagment
We are more of big dog people, but corgis are an exception! They are too quirky and cute. Had a great time meeting these two last week, and we wrapped up just as the rain hit!
