Engagemet/Pet Session
Julie and Tom (and Levi) were amazing to work with! This shoot was rescheduled three times due to absolutely freezing weather. We were so lucky to have mid 50's this Sunday, and it almost felt tropical compared to what we've been having. River Bend Park is so stunning at this time of year with it's gorgeous white sycamores that seem to radiate light. Congratulations, Julie and Tom!
Another award?!
We are ECSTATIC. It took me a few tries to spell "ecstatic!". In addition to our "Knot Best of Weddings Award" we were also awarded the "Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award"!! It feel so amazing to have hard work pay off and we are pumped for 2018 and all it has in store for us.

STYLED SHOOT!
Do you know what a styled shoot is? It's awesome. It's basically a fake wedding thrown by vendors so that they can get amazing promotional material for their portfolio. We were SO honored to be asked to be the videographers for this styled shoot, themed "Bleu Rendezvous" at one of our favorite venues - Raspberry Plain Manor in Leesburg. The best part about these shoots is instead of rushing to get the shots like we normally are doing at real weddings, we got to take our time all day! We met some very talented vendors who were part of the shoot - from the florists, to the jeweler, to the bakers. Enjoy our first styled shoot video below!
Another Old Town Shoot!
Old Town Alexandria is becoming my new favorite engagement location. It is so versatile - it offers water views, nature, and of course it's infamous historical architecture. I cannot wait to be a part of Alexandra and Evan's wedding next October!!
Christmas Card Photoshoot
I had a great time yesterday with this adorable family! I've never worked with such an easy newborn before. Baby Sophia braved the cold and the camera really well. Lake Audubon in Reston will continue to be one of my go-to photo session locations!
Jordan & Dillon in Old Town
Old Town Alexandria is one of my favorite spots. It's so quaint and there are so many types of backdrops to work with. I had a great time walking around with Jordan and Dillon, enjoying all the fall things. Can't wait to do their wedding in May!

Fall Engagement Shoot at Harper's Ferry
Harpers Ferry is such an amazing location for photoshoots - you get a historic town, old ruins, nature everywhere, riverside beaches, and epic views of the mountains. I had so much fun strolling around with Madelyn and Daniel and we can't wait to capture their wedding next year!
David & Emily's Urban Wedding
It was an honor to photograph my cousin's wedding in Rhode Island last weekend. David and Emily's wedding reception took place at a super hip warehouse- complete with a duckpin bowling alley, brick walls, and high ceilings. You cannot get cooler than duckpin bowling! It was such a beautiful day and I had so much fun capturing it.

Katie is a friend from JMU and I was so glad when she reached out to me about her wedding. We did an engagement shoot last year and just from working with them I knew I would have such a great time photographing their wedding. It was the perfect September evening, and Rosemont Manor was a beautiful venue.
Unique Backyard-Venue Wedding
Glen Garden Weddings in Fredericksburg might be our new favorite place. Natalie & Jordan's perfect backyard-venue wedding was surrounded by tiki torches, lush gardens, horses, a live band, and 50 of their closest loved ones. Such a unique and fun way to end the summer season.
