Christine & Tyler Engagement Session
I had a wonderful time with Christine and Tyler on Sunday. After days and days of rain, we were so lucky that the sun finally came out the morning of their shoot at the beautiful Ida Lee Park. How cute are they? Can't wait to do their wedding next year!
Jordan & Dillon's Rainy Wedding
Jordan and Dillon's wedding yesterday was nothing short of perfect. After hours of pouring rain, the sun popped out just as they were announced husband and wife, right in time for some more beautiful portraits. There's something so stunning about those rainy ones, though!
Karen & Svet's Bulgarian Wedding
We had the best time at Karen and Svet's wedding on Saturday! Highlights included a flawlessly choreographed first dance and a surprise appearance by an authentic Bulgarian band.

The cherry blossoms were in bloom a couple weeks ago so this family braved the 40-degree morning with me to take photos! It was so worth it - nothing like gorgeous, fluffy pink blossoms on a sunny April morning. Happy first birthday to these three little ones!

Engagemet/Pet Session
Julie and Tom (and Levi) were amazing to work with! This shoot was rescheduled three times due to absolutely freezing weather. We were so lucky to have mid 50's this Sunday, and it almost felt tropical compared to what we've been having. River Bend Park is so stunning at this time of year with it's gorgeous white sycamores that seem to radiate light. Congratulations, Julie and Tom!
Another award?!
We are ECSTATIC. It took me a few tries to spell "ecstatic!". In addition to our "Knot Best of Weddings Award" we were also awarded the "Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award"!! It feel so amazing to have hard work pay off and we are pumped for 2018 and all it has in store for us.

STYLED SHOOT!
Do you know what a styled shoot is? It's awesome. It's basically a fake wedding thrown by vendors so that they can get amazing promotional material for their portfolio. We were SO honored to be asked to be the videographers for this styled shoot, themed "Bleu Rendezvous" at one of our favorite venues - Raspberry Plain Manor in Leesburg. The best part about these shoots is instead of rushing to get the shots like we normally are doing at real weddings, we got to take our time all day! We met some very talented vendors who were part of the shoot - from the florists, to the jeweler, to the bakers. Enjoy our first styled shoot video below!
Another Old Town Shoot!
Old Town Alexandria is becoming my new favorite engagement location. It is so versatile - it offers water views, nature, and of course it's infamous historical architecture. I cannot wait to be a part of Alexandra and Evan's wedding next October!!

I had a great time yesterday with this adorable family! I've never worked with such an easy newborn before. Baby Sophia braved the cold and the camera really well. Lake Audubon in Reston will continue to be one of my go-to photo session locations!
Jordan & Dillon in Old Town
Old Town Alexandria is one of my favorite spots. It's so quaint and there are so many types of backdrops to work with. I had a great time walking around with Jordan and Dillon, enjoying all the fall things. Can't wait to do their wedding in May!
