Who says your engagement photos can’t look stunning in harsh lighting? We know how to work that sun!! Grace smartly scheduled her hair and makeup trial before this session, too - doesn’t she look gorgeous? Almost as gorgeous is their sweet dog who we had to get in some shots.

Engagement session at Meadowlark
Since the National arboretum is not issuing photography permits..Meadowlark it is! And wow, just look at those azaleas! We love that Meadowlark gardens offers different blooms each month of the year. Each time we go, we are able to explore and photograph in different backdrops across the vast grounds. This sweet couple is getting married in Fall of 2027..which is already filling up!
Family of Four
A repeat family of ours - from weddings to newborns. This session featured their new beautiful home, with their new beautiful baby girl, who let us place her in a beautiful bed of flowers! One of my favorite parts about family sessions is just capturing the family as they are - which usually just means LETTING the older toddler be their crazy selves :)
Peak Cherry Blossom Wedding
How lucky is this couple that their wedding happened to line up with peak cherry blossoms blooming in DC and at Meadowlark Gardens!! They are so deserving. Friday March 27th was our longest wedding gig yet..but never a dull moment from morning to midnight. Jacob (groom) even celebrated his 30th birthday after the wedding reception! It was such a fun day with an awesome group of people. From Jacob’s cute cat in his apartment, to Katie and Jacob’s heartfelt hand-written vows during the ceremony, to cherry blossom petals flying in the air, an enormous cookie exchange table, and many happy tears..we were lucky to be a part of this day.
National Gallery of Art Engagement
This was such an elegant engagement session. The National Gallery of Art offered the perfect backdrop for this couple and their vibe. Plus, it wasn't weather - dependent like our usual spots!

Each year seems to be our busiest and best yet - from 55 weddings, to filming documentaries and commercials, to photographing growing families .. we are filled with so many special memories. Halloween Wedding at Raspberry Plain
Olivia and Alex made it easy saying yes to working a holiday. Plus our kids were spoiled more from trick-or-treating with their grandparents than they would’ve been with us!
Olivia knocked it out of the park planning a tasteful Halloween wedding. From the decor to the song choices to the desserts..everything was tasteful, elegant, and still celebratory of such a fun holiday.
This was the windiest wedding we’ve done in our ten years of work. It was a LOT on everyone, but just look at the dramatic veil portraits we got from it! They are some of our favorite shots from the day.

River View at Occoquan Wedding
Thursday's wedding couple was so kind, radiant, and in love. Loved ones from across the world (Indonesia and the Philippines) came to celebrate with them. It was a beautiful Fall day. Perhaps one of the most meaningful moments we witnessed was when Gabby & Alfredo acknowledged their parents during the ceremony (pictured). This is something we have seen at quite a few weddings...and the tears/hugs/unspoken words almost automatically translate to tears throughout the entire audience.
Great Marsh Estate Wedding
Let it be known that Hayley booked the gorgeous Great Marsh Estate before it was on Love is BlindSaturday’s wedding POURED, but the skies unexpectedly opened up in time to have an outdoor ceremony (Hayley's biggest wish). This awesome couple placed their trust in us in making some game-time decisions to keep everyone dry throughout the day, on schedule, all while providing bright & cheery photos. We had the best time..congrats to these two!
Newborn Session
Our family and newborn sessions are ramping up, now that it’s September! The weather has been gorgeous for both indoor and outdoor family sessions of all kinds. Welcome, baby Indie and thank you for being such a calm, precious subject during our shoot!
Goodstone Inn Outdoor Wedding
A intimate poolside wedding in Virginia's horse country (Goodstone Inn, Middleburg), where the temperatures remained in the 70s most of the day, with a light breeze and full sun. What more could you ask for? It's crazy to say that our "Fall" i.e. second half of our 2025 wedding season has begun! Our talented team was busy this past weekend capturing several weddings and events, helping us kickstart what will be a fantastic season. Congratulations to Jennifer and Thomas! National Cathedral Engagement
It’s been years since I’ve been here so it was so nice to return to the Washington National Cathedral, on SUCH a beautiful May morning with this couple! Katie and Jabob are getting married next year at Meadowlark Gardens in Vienna, and it was great getting to know them. I had a fun time with them exploring the vast grounds and taking some pretty magical photos for them to have as a forever keepsake.

Congrats to Madison, Pat, and BRADY!! Saturday could not have been better weather, and it's always so fun to explore new venues (Henry House, Arlington). Besides Madison (bride), and Brady (dog), we think the florals stole the show with those bold, Spring colors that caught everyone's eye.

Spring Wedding at Army Navy Club DC
There is nothing like Spring in DC. These two lucked out with warm weather, clear skies, and full blooms around the city! It was such a great weekend celebrating them - from the rehearsal dinner at the Hay Adams Hotel, to the wedding at Army Navy. Our team had three weddings on Saturday and they all went so well. Can’t wait to share more, and we’re so excited for all of our 2025 weddings!
