I'm very sad that I didn't discover my obsession with moscow mules until this wedding.
Congrats to the stunning couple, Kelly and Angelo!

Lately I have been doing a ton of small wedding ceremonies and I have to admit, they are my favorite kind. There is something so special about just having your closest friends and family to share the moment. What a view this one had, too!
..adorable photo opportunities. I am so impressed at how positive and upbeat Rachel and Eric were on the rainy wedding day. We had so much fun frolicking around the grounds with our umbrellas.
It has been such a gorgeous spring for photographing babies.
A wedding on a 75-degree Saturday in a 5-star hotel overlooking the White House and monuments? I'll take it!
While I love real estate photography, sometimes there's not too much opportunity for "artsy" shots since I am focusing on selling the home's space, and not the belongings in it. So that's why I LOVE staged shoots - photo shoots that focus on featuring a staging company's beautiful work! Check out some favorites from my latest two shoots.
We had so much fun doing this DC wedding in February. The weather was mild, and Elizabeth and Tim, all dressed up walking around DC, sure turned the heads of curious tourists! The night ended with a reception with a stunning view of the entire city (Top of the Town, Arlington).
Summer conditions call for some impromptu outdoor portraits!
This sweet little girl just turned ONE this past weekend! She was quite the trooper as we experimented with different shots of her to see what worked and what didn't. Really pleased with how these turned out.
I always have a mix of emotions when starting a new year. Sad that the holidays are over, overwhelmed getting back into work, yet always excited and optimistic. This time of year gives us the necessary opportunity to reflect on the past year and make necessary steps towards continual growth. This Christmas I received such a wide range of spiritual and inspirational gifts that were a nice change of pace from my usual practical gifts. They made me excited to begin the new year, which I hope is full of friends, travel, family, new experiences, growth, learning, and of course photography!
My cousin is getting married next year and I am so excited to photograph it! We did a mini-engagement session today in Ashburn and the weather cooperated very nicely.
As we look back on 2016 it was a truly amazing year. With 27 weddings now under our belt, we are constantly gaining experience and improving at lightning speed. The adjective that would best describe the 2016 year is Diversity. We did weddings from around 12 different cultural backgrounds. The customs and traditions we witnessed were so fun to observe and learn about. This is why the DC area is so wonderful. Enjoy this 2-minute montage featuring the beauty in this diverse year. Hoping 2017 will bring many new experiences as well!
A merry time with the Merriman's at Lake Accotink!
Jael and David helped end our 2016 wedding season with a bang. Their beautiful African wedding took place in the most quaint Virginia town - Middleburg.
I had so much fun strolling around the woods in beautiful Reston with these two. I can't believe how long these fall colors are lasting!
We were so in love with this gold and white color scheme. It was so festive!
Fall peak has not hit yet even though it's October 18th. I was worried that we wouldn't get any good, colorful shots for this engagement shoot but we got lucky and found some select spots near Great Falls. I had SO much fun working with Ashlei and Nick and can't wait to do their wedding video next year!
Had a great time photographing Will (US Air Force band) last week. It's been a beautiful month for several portrait sessions. Stay tuned for more!
