2018 has been one heck of a year. Enjoy our recap video with some of our favorite shots. This year was filled with SO many amazing clients, and only a small portion are represented in this but we thank you ALL. Cheers to 2019!
Tis the Season...
for family photo shoots! We have been very busy photographing families for holiday cards this year and have been having a great time. How cute are these dog sweaters?
Burke Lake Family Session
Loved working with this sweet family at Burke Lake! This session was a gift from his sister, who is a past bride of ours. If you are searching for Christmas gift ideas, family sessions are without a doubt one of the most useful things. Experience gifts are wonderful because they don’t clutter your home with more stuff :)
Foggy Engagement
We loved exploring Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis and will definitely book future shoots there after seeing all it has to offer. Sunday was quite the foggy day but it provided such a magical backdrop for these three!
Non Profit Mini Sessions
We LOVED partnering with Strength In Our Voices , a non profit organization in DC committed to mental health awareness. It was a cold, wet day but we met some VERY adorable fur babies!
Great Falls Again :)
We will NEVER tire of photographing here!! Loved walking around with Charlie and Trish, soaking in Fall’s last display of colors. Very excited to be a part of their wedding next year.
Cozy Georgetown Engagement
Loved this engagement session with this beautiful couple, Dana and Alex! The weather was so perfect. We can’t wait to do their wedding next year.
Last 2018 Wedding
Our last wedding of the year did not disappoint - full of cozy barn dancing, good wine, and even flower Grandma's 😍. So honored to capture a childhood friend's wedding and see so many familiar faces! Allen and Morgan, congratulations!! Wishing you both years of happiness and can't wait to share more photos with you.
Family Session at Lake Anne
It’s a joy to photograph this infectiously happy family! We met them last year when for a family session when Sophia was just 2 months. Now she’s 14 months and her silly personality has really exploded.
Raspberry Plain Wedding
Our second wedding of the weekend was just as stunning. We're so glad we were still able to capture some fall colors, too! As the season is winding down, we are reflecting on the amazing, sweet coupes we've worked with this year such as these two.
Fall Wedding in Luray
Tim and Hayley were married in Luray, VA this past Saturday on a frigid but sunny, vivid day. We loved spending all day with these two and capturing every moment!
Mexican Honeymoon
We are struggling being back in the real world because this trip was a DREAM. We spent 8 days immediately following our wedding in the beautiful Riviera Maya, Mexico at a resort called Unico 2087. Our days were filled with sunshine, pool time, endless consumption of food, endless mojitos, snorkeling in caves and with sea turtles, swimming with dolphins, seeing ancient ruins, zip lining, getting massages, 24 hour room service…guys the list goes on! We are so grateful for such a long, safe vacation and we can’t wait to travel more as newlyweds. It was such a nice change of pace from some of the backpacking trips we’ve done :) Enjoy a few favorite photos of ours.
Stone Tower Winery Wedding
I was so honored when a friend of mine Alexandra asked me to photograph her wedding!! Stone Tower Winery will always be one of our favorite venues. I loved working with these two, it was like a last hurrah before our own wedding in one week. They had a beautiful fall day and were surrounded by such wonderful families. Congrats to Alexandra and Evan!!
Black Horse Inn Wedding
Fall is finally here. It always seems to hit late in Virginia. We went from 85 degrees to 40’s in a matter of days. The Black Horse Inn in Warrenton was a stunning wedding location. We were able to capture some beautiful fall colors in our portraits on a sunny, crisp day. Kristin and Steven were a joy to work with and we know they will share a lifetime of happiness!
Autumn Dream Wedding
Friday's wedding was a sunny autumn DREAM. Morgan's wedding dress has been used in her family for generations (if we remember correctly this was the seventh wedding the dress was used at!). Their adorable dog Lou made an appearance, the calm weather allowed for some fun drone shots, we tried to fit 10 bridesmaids in a tub..it was such a fun day to be a part of
Ancient Castle
Ok, it’s just church ruins at Harpers Ferry but “ancient castle” sounds WAY cooler! Ryan and I had the best engagement session with this couple on Sunday. We are doing Rita and Ryan’s wedding next June and are very excited to work with them again. Harpers Ferry is definitely in our top three favorite local engagement shoot locations. It has so many beautiful backdrops to offer - water, cute shops, and of course, STUNNING ruins.
Anniversary Session
We had a great time capturing this anniversary session on Friday with Truniqua and Ryan. Great Falls was nearly flooded and made for some stunning shots. The way the sun hit the Maryland side of the river made it look like we already have fall colors, too!
Balloon Wedding in the Mountains
It was so great to see lots of familiar JMU faces on Saturday at this beautiful Virginia mountain wedding. Grant and Danielle sure know how to throw a FUN wedding. By far our favorite part was the first look when the wedding party hid the bride behind a sea of balloons! Such a happy day and can’t wait to share more photos and video.
DC DIY Wedding
These two threw an amazing DC wedding - with undercover superheroes, photos at the monuments (accompanied by enthusiastic tourist-paparazzi), and dinner under the night sky. We loved witnessing every part. Can't wait to edit their teaser video, too!
Misty Farm Wedding
We loved capturing Danielle and Jarrod's rainy but beautiful wedding on Saturday at Glen Garden Weddings, Fredericksburg. These two had such a special bond. Also we did not know that horses love to nibble on bouquets
