Sarah and Mark's wedding took place at the historical President Lincoln's Cottage - their amazing day featured a cozy outdoor dinner, spiked apple cider, and nonstop dancing!

Oatlands Again

Another stunning wedding at Oatlands. Dana & Alex..you two are THE cutest and we had the best time yesterday! We love this time of year.

Fall Winery Wedding

Sunday's wedding at Bluemont Vineyard was as energetic and fun as any Saturday wedding..and the rain cleared just in time to enjoy a scenic outdoor ceremony, too. Another successful double-header in the books! We love October weddings <3

Oatlands Plantation

This venue….is a photographer’s dream. We had the best time at Natalie and Ian’s wedding, where it actually felt like FALL! Wishing these two a lifetime of happiness.

Airlie Session

Melissa and Patrick are one good looking couple!! And what a joy to explore another new engagement session location (two new spots in one week)! Cannot wait to do more sessions here - we only explored part of the grounds and there was so much to offer. These two are getting married at Morais Vineyards next year but we did Airlie for the engagement because it’s where Melissa’s parents got married.


Stone Tower Winery

Finally, an engagement session held at the magical Stone Tower Winery! Love this place. And how cool is it that James and Nikki found us from an instagram hashtag?? Score!

Georgetown Engagement

It seems like Meadowlark and Georgetown have been prime engagement session locations! We can see why :) Had a wonderful time with these two last week.

Maternity Session

It seems like maternity session are becoming more and more popular with Compass Studios and we’re not complaining! It’s such a special time in your life to capture. This session was taken on the Stone Bridge Trail in Centreville and it offers so many beautiful backdrops for all types of shoots. Loving this slightly cooler weather, too!

Moroccan Wedding

So glad the rain ended after Friday's wedding ceremony so that we could head outside to capture this beautiful couple on the water! We've captured dozens of various wedding customs but this Moroccan reception was a first for us and it was such a treat.

6 Months Old

Missed the newborn session timeframe? Doesn’t matter! How sweet is baby Adam, the 6-month old olive-skinned model baby? LOVED this session as Jamie, Adam’s mama, is a very close childhood friend of mine.
