You might be starting to recognize this venue since we've done quite a few weddings here! Laura & Kyle finally got to celebrate their marriage last Friday with about 20 others at Evergreen Country Club. It's still not as many guests as they hoped, but the entire day was incredibly special AND they lucked out with 75-degree weather and pink blossoms. These two are so deserving of the great day they had and have gotten us so excited for this Spring wedding season.

Michelle & Keith are a 2018 wedding couple of ours and Michelle reached out last minute for a maternity session! We’re so happy for them. She looked absolutely radiant and is due at the end of this month. We lucked out with a very warm day on Wednesday for the shoot, which meant dealing with some mud, but these two were such troopers. Algonkian Park is a perfect spot for portrait sessions.

10 Person Wedding
Congratulations to Kaitlyn and Matt! These two had an intimate ceremony on Saturday with just their immediate families. They are eager for a bigger celebration (at a TBD date) but for now they are over the moon to be married.
Newborn Session
You might recognize these two from their recent maternity session with us, or their wedding that we captured! Well, their beautiful baby girl is now here, and, she must really like me because the kind soul slept peacefully during the entire session!
Surprise NYE Proposal
New year, new fiancé We loved capturing this NYE surprise proposal in Reston! It was crazy dark, some passersby were concerned why two people with cameras were hiding near a random bridge, and there was a threat of rain.. but in the end, everything came together. Happy New Year, everyone!
Puppy Engagement
We are pretty obsessed with Brooklyn, Laura & Justin’s young and energetic doodle! We had such a great time with these two, well, THREE, in Old Town Alexandria. It was quite cold and windy but the photos made it all worth it. These two will be having a small backyard wedding next April in DC!
Georgetown Maternity Session
We love how last week’s maternity session didn’t really look like December! Golden sun and even some green, lush colors along the canal. We had such a great time with these two.

Last Wedding of 2020
Our last wedding of the year did not disappoint! We had great Fall weather, a wonderful team of vendors, and most of all, just such an amazing couple. Emily and Matt were so much fun to work with and truly treated their entire team of vendors with so much care. We are so happy to have ended this wedding season on such a good note after the crazy year it’s been!

Arts Club of Washington Wedding
Rain and cold on your wedding day? No problem! What a fun wedding at the Arts Club of Washington on Sunday. We've known Iv & Ali for a while since we did Iv's twin's wedding a few years ago (which was also full of the same fun Bulgarian traditions). Impressive facts: Ali works in a retirement home devoting care to seniors, and Iv is currently working on the vaccine. Now..see if you can spot some DC pigeons photobombing in a couple shots!

Small Winery Wedding
Another beautiful intimate Fall wedding last Saturday .. are you guys seeing a trend? A lot of our couples are choosing to get married this year, and celebrate with a larger crowd next year. Melissa and Patrick's small ceremony ended with an outdoor dinner amongst the grapevines at Morais Vineyard - add candlelight, plentiful local wine, and a warm breeze and talk about a perfect evening!

DC Sunrise Engagement
Nothing like a DC sunrise on a perfect Fall morning! This was my second time working with Susie and Jimmy, the first was last month at their backyard civil ceremony. Then next year is their big celebration :) I love how their first outfit was super elegant, then their next was less formal but still very classy.
Middleburg Wedding
Hope & Moon These two are bubbly, hilarious, welcoming souls and we are so happy we met them. We felt more like guests at their small wedding on Saturday and we're not complaining. We love what we do!
Intimate Wedding Ceremony
Patty & Darryl got married over the weekend in Paris, Virginia with just 6 special guests. The weather could not have been more perfect! One bright side to this crazy year is that our client relationships are prolonged - come next year during their bigger wedding, these two will have worked with Compass Studios during three separate years.
