purchase unique, decorative prints for a cause

Katie takes pride in her prints taken from her world travels. You’d be surprised what a difference it can make to your home or office if you hang an artistic photo, especially knowing you are supporting an individual (versus a stock photo website) AND a charity. 15% of your proceeds will be donated to one of the charities below that she's had personal connections with - you pick!

1. environmental

B-E-A-C-H: Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawaii is a non-profit that addresses the massive amounts of marine debris that wash up onto fragile beaches in Hawaii. The Pacific Plastic Circle is a floating mass of plastic particles estimated to be between the size of Texas and twice the size of the U.S. As these non-biodegradable particles find their way to shores, endangered species unfortunately ingest them (mistaking them for food) and are killed. This plastic also enters the human food chain as we consume the fish that eat the plastic.

2. woMen and human rights

Exposing Hope: This non-profit is committed to exposing human rights violations in troubled areas such as Darfur, Afghanistan, and the Congo. Exposing Hope highlights inspiring, hopeful stories through photography, directs funds to these troubled areas, and provides solutions to strengthen these local communities. I am a current volunteer with Exposing Hope.

3. children and education

NPH Orphanages, Latin America: Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) means “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”. For 5 years my brother volunteered and lived at their location in Mexico which is home to around 700 orphans. The mission of this organization is to educate these children and prepare them for when they leave at 18, many of whom go on to universities.
