Raspberry Pain Manor Wedding

So happy for Nikki and James! They had their wedding part 2 this weekend, this time with all of their friends and family to celebrate. Raspberry Plain is such a great venue and it was great to return and work with some great vendors.

Renback Barn Wedding

Congratulations to Savannah and Jacob! Like so many weddings, the threat of rain created some stress followed by enormous relief when it held off - which pretty much makes our couples exponentially happier than if there was no threat at all! We got to do everything outside with the perfect mountain backdrop. The day was full of many amazing military and religious traditions.

Sunrise at the Lincoln Memorial

I met with Samantha and Jeff last week at sunrise on a super hot day, but luckily we beat most of the heat by starting early! I loved their outfits and their energy. They have chosen our Associate Photography package for next year’s wedding which is a package that’s definitely growing in popularity.

Beachy Wedding at Herrington on the Bay

Our second wedding of the weekend as just as amazing. Torrential downpour was followed by the most glorious diffused, golden light! These weddings guests partied all the way until the end. Like Kaitlyn and Michael, Christine and Daniel were rescheduled from last year. There were many tears as they finally became husband and wife!

Romantic Wedding at Airlie

First up from the weekend, we have Kaitlyn and Michael's romantic wedding at Airlie. These two are some of the most genuinely kind people we've ever met and, like you'll hear us say the rest of the year, we're so glad this couple finally got to have their wedding after such a long wait!

Shadow Creek Wedding

It feels like forever ago that Craig and Patricia booked us for their wedding..because it kinda was! Due to Covid, of course, their wedding was pushed back a year. We finally got to capture their day yesterday and it was perfect from the weather, to the full moon, to the family and friends ready to party. Absolutely loved revisiting this venue!

Bull Run Golf Club Wedding

Congratulations to Kim & Jordan! Yesterday started off hot and humid but a torrential storm left perfectly mild, breezy weather in its wake. We had such a great time doing what we love!

Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Wedding

They're married! Yesterday was so much fun, and what a perfect sunset to kick off the summer wedding season. Amanda & Chris, thank you for having us!! They truly threw an AMAZING party.

Tidal Basin Engagment

Rachel and Zach giggled their entire engagement session with me at the Tidal Basin! They were so natural and effortless together that I barely did much posing. Rachel is a high school friend of mine and she runs along the Tidal Basin often. Ryan and I will be doing their lovely wedding this Fall!

Secret Garden Maternity Session

This is one of our favorite shoots to date! Aida & Bryan are a lovely previous wedding couple of ours..and they are now entering this new exciting chapter. Aida suggested Dumbarton Oaks for the shoot location and I would not be sad if every shoot Ryan and I do from now on is at this beautiful hidden gem of a location. I really can’t get over how photogenic these two were.

Arsty Fredericksburg Wedding

Loved everything about this day! From the couple, to the venue, and all the special moments. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Sackett! You made our job so much fun.

Stone Tower Winery Engagement

I never get sick of photographing at the beautiful Stone Tower Winery! It's really a fantastic spot that shows off how stunning Virginia is just minutes from home. I had a great time with these two and we look forward to their rescheduled wedding finally in August.

Romantic, Beachy Engagement Session - Great Falls

Wow these two were so adventurous and down for anything! This shoot was SO fun. It’s so hard to pick a favorite! They are getting married this fall and booked our popular Associate Photography Package.

Backyard DC Micro-Wedding

How adorable is pretty much everything about this wedding? From the reception decor to the dogs to the couple! Laura & Justin had a small 15-person wedding in their backyard in Washington DC on Saturday. The rain held off most of the day and it was a perfect, casual yet special atmosphere. AMAZING photos by our associate, Carling & Dakota Photography.

Baby Natalie

I adore working with Michelle and Keith! From their amazing wedding in 2018, to their maternity session this past winter, to their newborn session with baby Natalie from this week - it’s always great to see them. So happy for this next chapter in their life.

Lincoln Memorial + War Memorial

Since the Jefferson Memorial has been under construction for quite some time, the reflecting pool has been the most popular DC option for photographers lately, but it never disappoints! Plus, just a short walk from the epic Lincoln Memorial is the quieter, more intimate War Memorial. I had a great time with these two on Sunday morning and I’m looking forward to their big day this Fall.

Wedding At Harbour View

Marissa and Michael got married on Saturday and it was a beautiful day. We experienced a new venue - Harbour View - off of the Occoquan River! From the first look with her father, to Michael watching Marissa walk down the aisle, to some epic reception dancing, it was a special day.

Springtime in Old Town

Erin & Dan are getting married in about a year, so this springtime engagement session in Old Town was perfect timing! We had a great time walking around with them on a perfect sunny, 70 degree evening. Loved their navy blue color scheme, too!

DC Spring Session

Another day and another beautiful Spring DC session! This engagement session was full of meaningful spots to these two: Ben works on Capitol Hill (pictured), the Redbud tree (pictured) is significant to their parents, and Gravelly Point park is where these two would watch the planes (pictured) from Reagan International fly overhead before Jenni would hop on one herself later that day to fly back to NY. Such a fun time with these two.

Cherry Blossom Sunrise

These three braved 25-degree windchills at sunrise on Saturday to have their engagement photos taken during the tail-end of the infamous Cherry Blossoms! It was so worth it..we will never tire of this annual, stunning display of nature. Looking forward to Kim & Jordan's wedding this summer!
